PATH 601 Pathology for Graduate Students (4 credits)
Prerequisites: MBIC 608 and MMIC 702 or equivalents.
Course Description: A study of the basic mechanisms of disease processes.

PATH 602 Systemic Pathology (4 credits)
Course Description: Covers in detail disease entities and processes of the following organ systems: cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, male and female reproductive, endocrine, skin, bone, and nervous. Other topics include neonatal, forensic, and environmental pathology. Instruction is by lecture, laboratory, and computer.
Offered spring semester.
PATH 603 General Pathology (3 credits)
Course Description: Presents the five main subdivisions of general pathology: cellular pathology, injury and inflammation, vascular disturbances, immuno-pathology, and tumors. Beyond the principles of general pathology, this lecture and laboratory course covers medical terminology and safety.

PATH 606 Pathobiology of Aquatic Organisms (3 credits)
Course Description: Lectures and laboratory sessions provide students with a working knowledge of basic pathologic processes involved in diseases of aquatic animals. The course covers anatomy, physiology, and pathology of aquatic organisms, focusing primarily on freshwater and marine fish. Students study both naturally-occurring diseases and those related to a captive environment.
