Course Description: A weekly seminar on a variety of research subjects in physiology by invited or resident scientists or graduate students.
MPHY 612 Physiology of Reproduction (2 credits)
Prerequisites: MPHY 601 or 644 and 645, or equivalent.
Course Description: This lecture, discussion, and literature course covers mammalian reproductive physiology at the molecular, cellular, tissue, and organismal levels. Topics include reproductive cycles, ovarian function, testicular function, pregnancy, follicular development, oocyte maturation, ovulation, steroidogenesis, steroid and protein hormone action, Leydig and Sertoli cell function, spermatogenesis, fertilization, implantation, placental function, parturition, and growth factors. Students attend lectures, read, and discuss selected papers.

MPHY 718 Special Topics in Physiology (1-3 credits)
Course Description: An advanced course dealing with research topics of interest to the instructor and students. Content varies and the program of study consists of lecture, seminars, special assignments, and laboratory experience. Requires prearrangement with faculty member.
